Resident Information allows a Student to view his room assignment, room type, mailing address, assigned telephone number and roommate(s) by session.
There are no preferences available for this portlet.
These settings can be done by any one who has permission to the Can Admin operation. These settings and permissions will affect only this specific instance (copy) of this portlet.
Click the wrench ()
from the Residence Info portlet
and set the following option on the Settings tab:
In the Residence Information Student Life Term drop-down menu, select the default Year and Term (Session) for which residence information for the student will be displayed. Note that this will only affect this instance of the Residence Info portlet. All other places where the Residence Info portlet appears will not use the same settings.
Click Save to save your changes and return to the Residence Info screen.
There are no security operations for this portlet.
The Residence Information screen displays the name of the user, the current default Session, the Room Assignment, Room Type, Mailing Address, Phone number and a list of Roommates assigned to that individual. If the roommate has chosen to share their email address with other users, the roommate name will appear as a mailto link that can be used to initiate an email to the roommate.
To access the Residence Information screen:
Enter the Residence Info portlet
Click the View Your Residence Info link provided to access the Residence Information screen.
If you wish to view residence information for a different session, use the Session drop-down list box provided.
Open the Residence Info portlet.
Click the Printer
Friendly link or the () icon.
A new browser window opens and displays the printer friendly version.
Click the Send to Printer button.
To exit, click the Exit
Print Mode link or the () icon.
